Acro/Tumbling
This dance style combines dance techniques with fluid movements and tricks such cartwheels, aerials, handsprings, backbends and the splits. It is a physically demandingstyle that requires you to build great strength, control and flexibility.

Ballet
Ballet is an art form created by the movement of the body. It is theatrical and performed on stage as a classical dance demanding grace and precision. Ballet has formalizing steps and gestures, and has been around since the Italian renaissance.

Contemporary*
The word "contemporary" basically means anything modern. So by defintion contemporary dance is a modern type of expressive dance style. Hip Hop
Hip-hop dance is a style of movement with influences from street dance. It has been proven to be a vibrant means for exercise and art. Hip-hop is an umbrella term for its many different styles, i.e.--locking, funk, breakdance, freestyle.

Lyrical*

Jazz
Jazz combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with current forms of popular dance. Jazz is a performance dance with a style that is matched to the rhythms and techniques of jazz music.

Tap
Tap is a unique style of dance involving specific and rapid footwork. The dancer's foot and shoe essentially act as a drum, and each part of the shoe makes a particular beat and sound rhythmically.
